This course covers an overview of 29 CFR 1910.107 and NFPA 33, AME Aircraft Painting Operations requirements, safety and health hazard associated with painting, paint removal and surface preparation tasks, AME hexavalent chromium and methylene chloride exposure control programs. The safe handling, storage & use of flammable, combustible corrosive & toxic materials & hazardous wastes. Equipment maintenance & inspection, operational restrictions, the establishment of hazard control zones & air monitoring procedures are also covered. Fire safety practices & procedures as well as the proper use, maintenance & storage of all emergency, safety & personal protective equipment shall be covered in this course. In addition, response, requirements, practices & procedures are also covered for: air emmisions program, water and waste water management spill prevention as well as actions to be taken in the event of an emergency.
