Over the last several years, FAA has done significant work to improve acquisition policies, establish acquisition practices, and develop the acquisition workforce. One challenge for the acquisition community is maintaining an awareness and understanding of changing policy, governance, roles, processes and practices needed to plan and deliver systems, services, and facilities. Coupled with this challenge is an understanding of the technical, business, and management skills required to perform different roles in the acquisition process that support FAAs mission. To assist the workforce, the Acquisition Executive Board and Acquisition Workforce Council are sponsoring a two day summit to brief the past years changes to policies, processes, boards, practices, and acquisition workforce development.
