COURSE 2012-01-23
This course is required under the National Recurrent Training program for 2012 (January 31-July 31). The purpose of this training is to maintain and update previously learned knowledge and skills. In this lesson, you will be instructed how to address weather situations and the importance of your job as a controller to communicate weather information to pilots. The objectives include: Identify the stages and types of thunderstorms. Identify the effects of thunderstorm-related phenomena on aircraft. Describe how precipitation is depicted on WARP and the limitations of weather radar. Given a scenario, identify safety risks. There will be an assessment at the end of this lesson.
