Students shall design and engineer a StruxureWare IP network to include upgrading device irmware in the AS, commissioning it within the system, and adding Central IO devices. The student will then configure a BACnet MS/TP field bus on the AS. Students will learn how to efficiently manage the flow of data within the network for timely and accurate use by the customer. Analog and Digital point and value creation, adding additional controllers, replacing controllers, bindings and binding templates are key areas to be presented. The student will use the Script/Function Block editing tool to write or modify basic digital, floating, and analog control programs. The course progresses to the use of advanced control programs, system and user defined Script functions. The student will establish bindings and test applications in the controllers as a mechanism to validate system design. The student will review schedule, trending, alarming, reporting and loops as tools to ensure the designed system is operating correctly.
