This short course will focus on human innovation, discovery and transformational leadership traits demonstrated to develop extraordinary and revolutionary aviation technology from the 1950s through the 1980s. Participants will be able to understand the organizational dynamics that are applicable for FAA leadership in the 21st Century at all organizational levels. The book SkunkWorks by Ben Rich will be provided to each participant at least two weeks prior to the beginning of the short course. The participant will be expected to participate in small group discussions in order to promote the maximum learning by all class members. The course will include integrated video clips from the History Channels videos Blackbird Stealth video and Man, Moment and Machine in order to facilitate concept understanding. This item provides 4 hours of credit toward FAAs continuing management education (CME) requirement for managers.
