The FAA uses a strategic planning and execution process known as PERTIa process that stands for Plan, Execute, Review, Train, and Improve. The plan part of PERTI generates a plan for the following day, called the Advanced Plan. This plan is developed in collaboration with the FAA and industry participants. It documents NAS constraints, global events, and mitigation strategies. The Advanced Plan is published and handed off to the next days shift, who refine it to develop a plan for the day, called the Operations Plan, which is updated as conditions evolve. Integration of PERTI planning data and real-time data to provide enhanced monitoring and alerting that includes the displays of triggers and goal exceedance/compliance objectives and enhanced operational situation awareness of TFM TMIs. Therefore, Advanced Plan elements have been integrated into NOD.
