This web-based training provides an introduction/overview to the Air Traffic Organization (ATO) SMS. It includes information on four SMS components: Policy; Safety Risk Management; Safety Assurance; and Safety Promotion. The course also highlights the importance of SMS using the Miracle on the Hudson example and introduces the concept of Collect, Find and Fix as the method of identifying, analyzing and improving risk. The content of this course will be the introduction of the Safety Risk Management Practitioner course. The audience is: QCG Cadres, SRM Practitioners, SRM Panel Facilitators, and ATO Safety Professionals.
