| The AVS Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP) Program -User course includes lecture and hands-on training that covers the following topics: FAAs BBP Order, roles and responsibilities of managers and employees, program requirements (epidemiology of pathogens, job categories covered by the program, universal precautions, engineering and work practice controls, PPE, Hepatitis B vaccinations, training, recordkeeping and program evaluation) . The course also covers the FAA AFS BBP Exposure Control Plan, and includes job aids for aircraft accident and air ambulance inspectors. The students will understand the hazards and be able to protect themselves from BBP exposure after successful completion of this course. | |||
