| The AVS Bloodborne Pathogen (BBP) Program -Trainer course includes lecture and hands-on training that covers the following topics: FAAs BBP Order, roles and responsibilities of managers and employees, program requirements (epidemiology of pathogens, job categories covered by the program, universal precautions, engineering and work practice controls, PPE, Hepatitis B vaccinations, training, recordkeeping and program evaluation) . The course also covers the FAA AFS BBP Exposure Control Plan, and includes job aids for aircraft accident and air ambulance inspectors. The student trainers will be able to teach the curriculum to others in their office after successful completion of this course. | |||
