| This course will provide experienced safety practitioners with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to effectively facilitate a Safety Risk Management Panel (SRMP), ensuring that the SRMP completes the 5-step SRM process accurately and thoroughly. At the end of the course, participants will be able to: explain the steps necessary to prepare for the SRMP; describe the techniques that should be used to guide the SRMP through its safety analysis; assume appropriate SRMP facilitation roles; and describe and apply the habits of effective SRMP facilitators. Practical exercises will allow participants to serve as SRMP facilitator in a mock SRMP, providing them with challenging scenarios to test their ability to apply the facilitation techniques learned in the lessons. The target audience for this course is experienced safety practitioners who currently are, or will be, responsible for facilitating SRMPs. This course is designed to be taken in conjunction with the SRM Writing Course. | |||
