| This course is mandated by the FAA in its Draft Fall Protection Order to provide an authorized rescuer to be properly trained in case of a fall or mishap while other co-workers are working at heights, and emergency rescue services are not available at the site being worked at. Recommended Time frame is 3 to 4 minutes. It is a 24 hour program. 5 hours of class room instruction and 19 hours of hands on experience. The student must pass a written exam and the hands on portion to qualify as an authorized rescuer. This employee will require retraining every 2 years. Also this employee will stay on the ground at all times while work at heights is being performed. | |||
