All AJW-L500 travel team members review and understand the basic field hazards will encounter while working on site. Additionally, members will be able to recognize United States venomous snakes, spiders, ticks, scorpions, and fire ants and identify signs and symptoms of exposure. Furthermore, teams will be aware of bees, wasps, hornets and identify PPE suggestions and hygiene practices to include suggested PPE practices. Lastly, teams will be able to recognize safe practices for encounters with mountain lions, bears, crocodiles, alligators, and monkeys along with suggested field practices. Finally, requirements for predatory Birds and severe weather threats and procedures.
