| The objective of the Dangerous Goods by Air Transportation Initial Course is to provide an in-depth review of 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Hazardous Material Regulations (HMR) and adjacent International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Technical Instructions (TI) as well as discuss any differences in the two regulatory publications. The course focuses on providing students with the ability to use and apply both the 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and International Civil Aviation Organization Technical Instructions (ICAO TI) to HAZMAT/DG shipments offered to, from or within the United States. Students demonstrate an understanding of the subject matter through a variety of individual exercises, group activities, written tests, and a final practical activity. | |||
