| The course content includes, but not limited to, the following topics: - Definitions and components - Inspections: initial, pre-operational, periodic (annual third-party inspection) - Safe operations before/during/after the lift - Hazards and key procedures for controlling hazards (e.g., shock loading) - Preventive maintenance according to the manufacturers user manual - Hand signals - Regulatory requirements - Recordkeeping - Personal protective equipment (PPE) - Fall protection hazards, fall restraint PPE - Accessing and entering data in the ATO Overhead Hoist/Crane Inventory Tool and viewing/downloading data from the dashboard The following hands-on exercises ensure students can affectively operate the equipment and relay the course content: - Classroom: Each student teaches a section of the training presentation assigned by the instructor. - Hands-on: Each student teaches the operation demo. - Instructor demos the ATO Overhead Hoist/Crane Inventory Tool and dashboard | |||
