This is the Theory of Operations (Bypass) exam for 41918001, Juneau Airport Wind System (JAWS). This exam will cover the Juneau Airport Wind System (JAWS). Subjects tested will include system and subassembly technical description, operation procedures, and maintenance and certification procedures. Aspects of the following subassemblies will be included: master station, ultrasonic wind stations, Taylor wind sensor stations, remote repeater stations, and lower atmospheric wind profilers. This exam is open book. The student can use FAA Handbooks, Schematics, TIBs, Formula Sheets, Troubleshooting Guides, submitted errata sheets, lab books and personal notes.
