| **COURSE REPLACED WITH 18710** This is a 10-day course for ASIs ONLY and not the International Community. Participants will receive the knowledge and skills to carry out a States Personnel Licensing (PEL) process in accordance with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Annex 1, Personnel Licensing, and related technical guidance. Assessment tools include group discussions, progress tests, and mastery tests to evaluate satisfactory knowledge. The course is intended to be taken as a group composed of various CAA personnel assigned to Personnel Licensing duties they include: Flight Standards inspectors and personnel assigned to international duties; Instructors of ICAO GSI courses; Flight Standards Technical Assistance Cadre members; and Flight Standards International Aviation Safety Assessment (IASA) Cadre members. References include International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards, Model Civil Aviation Regulations (MCARs) and model aviation law, regulations and technical guidance. NOTE: This program is offered to ASIs that work with the international community, such as in an IFO or CFOs and employees in AFS-50. The same course content used for international students will be used to teach FAA employees. | |||
