| INACTIVE. Students learn to use the Apollo Root Cause Analysis methodology to solve event-based problems. This course improves your skills for reviewing RCA results submitted for review. Students learn to use the RealityCharting Software to 1) define and bound a problem, 2) create a cause and effect chart, 3) identify effective solutions/risk controls, and 4) implement solutions by preparing RCA reports and/or exporting results for use in other applications. Students use hands-on exercises to apply Apollo RCA Charting Method to real world problems, including practice analyzing major airplane accidents. The course touches on certain FAA processes that require RCA, such as Monitor Safety Analyze Data (FAA Order 8110.107A).TARGET AUDIENCE: AIR Managers, Engineers, ASIs, Analysts and QMS focals.
