This course provides Aerospace Safety Engineers (ASEs) with an understanding of the FAAs role in the software approval process. Participants will learn about the software life cycle processes described in RTCA DO-178B/C and how to apply FAA guidance material to airborne systems that contain software. Target Audience(s): Aerospace Safety Engineers (ASEs) who are responsible for or participate in certification of airborne systems that contain software. Prerequisite(s): FAA21016 Part 21 and FAA27200090 Software and Airborne Electronic Hardware Fundamentals
