This course is designed for aviation safety inspectors (ASI) (Airworthiness, Operations, Cabin Safety) involved in the evaluation and surveillance of Air Carriers, Air Operators, and Air Agencies operating under 14 CFR Parts 121, 135, 141, 142, and 145. The course consists of classroom and workshop instructions designed to provide class participants with the knowledge and skills to use systems-oriented tools and techniques to evaluate aviation systems in order to identify, diagnose and ensure deficiencies are corrected. Course instruction includes effective team development, organizational concepts and safety attributes, evaluation planning, policy and procedure analysis, charting tools, and risk management. The final course project enables the participant to use interviewing skills, data collection tools, the risk management process, and effective briefing presentation skills to provide a report of system deficiencies with recommendations for improvement and a plan for followup action. DESIGNED FOR FLIGHT STANDARDS A/C AND GA INSPECTORS (BOTH - OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE). INSTRUCTION ALLOWS INSPECTORS TO EMPLOY STANDARDIZED, SYSTEMATIC APPROACH TO CONDUCT MGMT AUDIT/ANALYSIS DURING EVALUATION OF AVIATION COMPANIES. Profile updated in eLMS 5-9-05. Students are expected to have completed either (18801) General Aviation Operations Indoctrination Ground, (21054) Airworthiness Indoctrination Technical Core, (21055) Air Carrier Airworthiness Indoctrination or (21056) General Aviation Airworthiness Indoctrination.
