| This course will provide an overview of 508 Compliance regarding the necessary standards and procedures for ensuring that a document is accessible by all. Section 508 is an amendment to the US Workforce Rehabilitation Act and mandates that all electronic and info technology developed, procured, maintained, or used by the federal government be accessible to people with disabilities. This workshop provides hands-on covering what the standards are, how to make documents compliant in both Word & Adobe PDF, and who is responsible for updating documents. As part of the workshop, the trainees will work on updating a particular document per the direction of the trainers. | |||
