Leadership for FAA Managers (LFM) is the second part of a three-piece LFM course suite. The purpose of the LFM instructor-led training (ILT) course is to facilitate participants exploration of the traits, skills, and actions of an FAA managers leadership journey leading self, leading others, and leading organization. This course provides experienced managers with a foundation in basic leadership concepts as they apply to the FAA environment. The content focuses on: Making a successful transition into a leadership role with FAA Developing self-awareness and learning agility Building relationships with peers, staff, and organizational leaders While each level of management has unique challenges, there are common denominators related to transition such as shifting roles, responsibilities, and relationships that every manager must successfully address. This training is to develop managers self-awareness and learning agility so they may apply this understanding and behavior through the transition, in follow-on training, in their current role/position, and throughout their careers as effective leaders.
