| Congress passed the Telework Enhancement Act of 2010 to catalyze expansion of the telework program. Telework saves money by helping government reduce real estate and energy costs and promote management efficiencies. Managers are expected to address teleworker responsibilities to ensure the arrangement does not have any negative impact on the work. The key is for managers and employees to clearly define the work expectations and objectives, and then to give employees the tools and flexibility needed to get the job done. This blended learning event will include a pragmatic set of management strategies for the frontline manager. The event includes pre-event activities, followed by a 1.5 hour hands-on experience for FAA managers, and post-event activities using social media technologies. Upon completion of the event, participants will be able to apply management tools and best practices for supervising teleworkers. | |||
