The purpose of this course is to provide participants with: A background on the historical evolution of automatic control systems and design practices; An understanding of the basic functional architectures of automatic controls systems; Knowledge of where to look for automation design safety vulnerabilities, using better insight in the control stategies and design approaches employed.
