| (Self-study video). This mini-course is one in a series of overviews of technical topics in the Systems Engineering Curriculum. It provides an Overview of Basic Computer Concepts, Principles, and Terminology and its Relationship to Aircraft. Participants will be able to: Explain the key elements of computers, their interactions, and application to aircraft; Describe how computers process instructions; Describe the interaction of software with hardware; Explain embedded and general prupose computers and their use in aircraft; Define key software terminology; and Explain the need for asssurance for software and hardware. Audience: Aerospace Engineers who are responsible for or participate in software audits, Aviation Safety Inspectors Not equivalent to FAA21030 but good option for pre course work.
