THIS COURSE IS CANCELLED. This module will teach the basics of why ramp inspections of foreign-operated aircraft in the US are required and what legal authority exists to perform such ramp inspections. Students will learn the five phases of conducting a foreign-operated aircraft ramp inspection; the key pre-inspection planning tasks and the minimum length of time they should require to complete; how to identify the inspection tasks to be accomplished, regulations and standards that should be used; how to perform a foreign carrier aircraft surveillance for compliance with applicable regulations, Operations Specifications, and International Standards; how to analyze the results of an inspection and possible corrective actions required; how to identify the appropriate out briefing post-inspection tasks that should be accomplished for a Part 129 ramp inspection, and tips for communicating with foreign crew members.
