The purpose of this 5 lesson, 4 hour web based training (WBT) for new hire ASIs is to promote an understanding and/or awareness of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and associated obligatinos and standards to existing international air transportation agreements. This initial training will help the domestic inspector to gain additional information on issues of cultural differences, awareness and diversity considerations while performing international related tasks. This WBT will give the learner an overview of international activities with domestic or foreign air carriers in reference to the Chicago Convention, appicable sections of ICAO Annexes for Foreign and Domestic Obligations, ICAO Obligations and Documents, 8 Critical Elements of Safety Oversight System, International Agreements and Surveillance. This course is a prerequisite to the Practical Application Workshop (PAW) for Orientation to International Aviation.
