| INACTIVE. This course addresses key competencies for effective management in AVS. The course covers the changing aviation, government and agency environment; expectation of new managers; leadership and accountability competencies; key communication skills; an organizational overview; and managerial success factors around key AVS business processes. This course is intended to supplement existing FAA and AVS manager training by focusing on key messages from senior leadership, and stimulating critical thinking around manager effectiveness. It is an instructor-led training that supports learning through discussion, lecture, and active participation in multiple exercises. This item provides 24 hours of credit toward FAAs continuing management education (CME) requirement for managers.
