The purpose of this course is to provide staff involved in validation projects, primarily AIR-500 and AIR-700 employees, with an overview of the validation principles, current inbound and outbound validation processes as defined in FAA Order 8110.52B and IPAs, and post approval activities. It includes a conceptual understanding of the basis for the Bilateral Aviation Safety Agreements Implementation Procedures for Airworthiness (BASA IPA) and responsibilities FAA has as a member State of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) with regard to validations. It further defines the roles and responsibilities within AIR Divisions. Target Audience(s): Primary: AIR-500 and AIR-700 Aviation Safety Engineers , Aviation Safety Analysts, and Program Managers involved in validation. AIR-710 Flight Test involved in inbound or outbound validation projects.AIR-40. Secondary: AED, AIR-600 policy specialists, project officers, and their managers involved in inbound validation support. Prerequisite(s): FAA21016 Part 21 Revision 2 Notes for Non-AIR Audiences: This course is not available to non-FAA audiences
