UNDER DEVELOPMENT. The purpose of the course is to provide participants with a better understanding of COS, the COS process, including identifying and evaluating COS issues. This course includes information on presenting issues to the Corrective Action Review Board (CARB) for a safety decision, Airworthiness Directive rulemaking, and responding to requests for Alternative Methods of Compliance (AMOCs). This course is designed for engineers, senior engineers, and program managers who work COS, including their managers who oversee COS work. Internal Audience: This course is intended for Aircraft Certification Employees. Refer to AIR training roadmaps/curriculum for requirements and time frames. External Audience: This course is not available to non-FAA personnel. Prerequisite(s): None
