| Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) is an emerging technology that has the potential to improve safety and provide significant maintenance cost/time saving to airplane operators. SHM applications are beginning to be developed by applicants and submitted for FAA approval. This course provides an overview of the emerging technology and provides information on certification requirements and its integration into airplane operator maintenance programs.
