This is an introductory course for individuals responsible for performing financial assistance tasks in the Office of Airports (ARP). The course provides overviews of the federal airport development planning process including the role of ARP financial assistance organizations; administering the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) and the Passenger Facility Charge (PFC) programs; development of the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems (NPIAS) and Airports Capital Improvement Plan (ACIP); and financial tools and resources including SOAR, Delphi, and SAM. This course is a blended-learning component designed to offer context and lay the framework for consistent job performance in completing tasks related to the FAAs financial assistance programs. Corresponding on-the-job-training (OJT) modules are currently under development.
