This program was designed for the Department of Transportation (DOT) Management Officials/Supervisors in the Operating Administrations (OAs) to enhance employee engagement, productivity and professional skills by focusing on: Supervisory roles and responsibilities for performance management of employees to maximize job performance. Providing an overview of the performance management cycle and expectations for providing ongoing feedback. Understanding the performance management cycle in dealing with poor performers and taking appropriate administrative action. Developing and improving supervisory communication skills in managing employees to exhibit coach-like behaviors of supervisors (e.g., how to provide constructive feedback). Exhibiting the various tools and programs to motivate and reward employee performance. This course is practical in nature and includes lectures, group discussions, role plays, and small group activities, which will allow all participants to share their diverse perspectives and experiences. | |||
