Course Description: This one-day course is a must for anyone involved in the rulemaking process. Whether you are an economist new to the regulatory process, an attorney, or a subject matter expert, you will benefit from this training. This course will introduce you to the requirements for economic analysis in rulemaking and provide an overview of how the analyses are conducted. This course will also provide economists new to an agency an understanding of the context within which they will perform their duties and the fundamentals of what that duty entails.This course addresses: Statutory and Executive Order requirements for economic analysis in rulemaking; Three-phase process for conducting the economic analysis; OMB Circular A-4; and OMB Regulatory Impact Analysis FAQs Target Audience(s): FAA employees involved in the regulatory process.
