COURSE 2014-11-25
This course provides training for Technical Operations System specialists and Engineers on the Common Terminal Digitizer (CTD) subsystem of the ASR-8 radar, and either the ATCBI-5 or Mode S Beacon systems. The course is 37 hours resident lecture and 53 hours resident laboratory and 14 hours testing. Course subjects include CTD subsystem Theory of Operation, Hardware and Software specifics of the Lowest Replaceable Units; UPS, Time Server, SCU, DMU, DRX, ISP, VSP, RDSP, Longport Network LAN Switches, ACTELIS Modems, DSR (ATCBI-5 only), CAM PC Clients with MRD and DTE Monitor. Lab subjects include Preventive/Corrective Maintenance, LRU Configuration, Key and Certification Procedures, BITE Screen analysis and System Troubleshooting techniques are also covered.
