This course is for specialists, support, and developmental personnel. Lecture subjects include VOR introduction, theory, radiation patterns, and ground check analysis, TACAN introduction, theory, distance measurement, and azimuth signal generation. Lab subjects include VOR introduction, monitor and control screens, TACAN introduction, pulse train and radiated signal analysis. The learner must be proficient in basic algebra and trigonometry, as well as performing calculations on a scientific calculator.
