This course is for engineers and technicians on the Mark 1DEF Localizer, Glide Slope, Marker Beacon, and the Remote Monitor Receiver (RMR). The course is 96 hours field conducted laboratory. Subject areas include troubleshooting, system maintenance, and flight inspection on the Mark 1DEF Localizer, Glide Slope, Marker Beacon, and the Remote Monitor Receiver (RMR). Students will complete the FAA44231 Instrument Landing System (ILS) Mark 1DEF (Prerequisite) knowledge test on the first day of class attributing to 10% of the final grade.
