The Aeronautical Information Management Modernization (AIMM) Aeronautical Common Services (ACS) training course provides theory of system concepts, architecture, and functionality of software & network components of the ACS system. Purpose of the ACS system, utilizing technical documentation, architecture components (software and networking), hosted services on IESP, web services & monitoring tools, manage & define process used to analyze log files, and familiarization with system applications for operations, monitoring, logging,configuration management & system administration. Two labs are also performed. Topics include: purpose of the ACS system, utilizing the System Operations Manual (SOM) technical documentation, architecture components (software and networking), hosted services on Integrated Enterprise Services Platform (IESP), web services and monitoring tools, manage and define process used to analyze log files, and familiarization with system applications for operations, monitoring, logging, configuration management and system administration. Lab activities include performing access, monitoring and control tasks and performing an ACS system switchover/failover.
