| This workshop focuses on providing the skills and knowledge necessary for integration and standardization of network monitoring capabilities for Network Enterprise Management Center (NEMC) system specialists. VMware is the company the FAA and many industry leaders have decided to use to provide virtualization software for an enterprise network. VMware provides the software to implement and manage a virtual infrastructure. The VMware workshop takes students through a practical installation of not only the hardware/software components, but a tailored virtual network that mimics what they will be exposed too in the field. The students will be able to perform basic-level installation of the Servers that host the virtual machines to include vCenter, a network management platform. Finally, the workshop will provide the students with the fundamentals of storage and file system types, disk redundancy, computer hardware, security measures, monitoring, and VMware specific technologies. | |||
