This 48 hour instructor-led training course provides training for Network Enterprise Management Center (NEMC) personnel and provides hardware concepts utilized for operating and maintaining the National Airspace Data Interchange Network (NADIN) NADIN Modernization Rehost (NMR) Message Switching Network (MSN) system. Total length of course is 40 hours; broken into 20 hours for theory of operations and 28 hours of hands-on laboratory activities. Lecture Topics include: Course provides: NADIN NMR Hardware subsystem overview, NADIN NMR Network Architecture concepts including: Network Management routers, switches, Combined Services Access Point (CSAP) components and their interconnectivity, Stratus ft6600 Server, Non-FAA Server (ft6210), Legacy Protocol Converter, Keyboard, Video and Mouse (KVM), Secure Console Server, Network Time Server (NTS), Network Management and Authentication Servers, Monitoring Tools, and the Protocol Analyzer (InfiniStream Sniffer). Laboratory Subjects include: Laboratory subjects are comprised of NADIN NMR MSN hardware subsystems including: NEMC Combined Services Access Point (CSAP) switches and routers, Network Management switches and routers, Stratus ft6600 Server, Stratus ft6210 Server (Non-FAA), remove and replace CPU I/O enclosure, VMware Infrastructure (VI) Client, remove and replace Non-FAA ftScalable SAN Disk Drive, WinGate Proxy Server, Legacy Protocol Converter, Keyboard, Video, and Mouse (KVM), KVM login and accessing a connected device, Secure Console Server, Management Interface for Secure Console Server, CSAP router replacement, Network Timer Server (NTS), Network Management Server (NMS), Trivial File Transfer Protocol (TFTP) Server, Authentication Server, modify user accounts on the NADIN Authentication Server, utilization of the monitoring tools (SolarWinds Orion Network Performance Monitor), InfiniStream connectivity and desktop capture.
