| The review of recent organizational goals has found that Technical Operations has a need to improve the project implementation process. A key part of this is requirements being understood by all and good communications. The potential risks can be: Project delays, excessive rework, funding shortfalls, organizational relationship issues, and excessive and unresolved JAI exceptions. Four components of project implementation were identified: 1. Planning and Project Scoping, 2. Project Design, 3. Environmental and Occupational Safety & Health (EOSH), and 4. Joint Acceptance Inspections (JAIs). Standard operating procedures (SOPs) for each component have been created. The SOPs will be used as a foundation for a back to basics program, and utilized to support current best practices. The SOPs will apply to current ongoing projects. The back to basics is geared for Engineers, Project Engineers, System Support Center points-of-contact/Coordinators and TS Technicians-in-depth. | |||
