| The FAA Academys Basic Instructor Training (BIT) Course is an essential program required for all FAA Academy instructors, designed to provide consistency in delivery and standardized content. The course establishes a uniform knowledge base of the five critical instructor tasks outlined in AMAWI-00007 Training Administration and Delivery and evaluated using the AMAWI-00033 FAA Academy Instructor Evaluation Criteria Matrix. Within this 7-day course, participants will be trained in methods of adult education that comply with FAA Academy Instructional guidelines. The program begins with an introduction to adult learning theory and the creation of specific learning goals. It then progresses to active engagement techniques and dynamic presentation skills. The concluding portion is devoted to the practical implementation of these skills and the crafting of appropriate evaluative assessments. Each section of the course is punctuated by assessments, confirming learning transfer and alignment with the high standards set forth by the FAA Academy. | |||
