Upon completion of this class, participants will be able to: Understand the role of the Manager/supervisor in the electrical safety program; Understand the energized work permit and hierarchy of controls; Understand PPE program, their roles and responsibilities, and PPE inspection, selection, training and use for their employees; Recognize electrical hazards; Understand the difference between qualified and unqualified personnel and the responsibilities of each. Student will also understand the basics of LOTO procedures and the requirement for annual audits; Understand their enforcement role for the electrical safety program (conducting and documenting inspections, etc.); Understand their responsibility for developing basic rescue procedures; Understand the safety network structure in the service area or center; Simple and complex LOTO procedures; Understand clearance requirements around equipment.
