| This course provides instruction in the operation of Airport Movement Area Safety System (AMASS) Build 5 for air traffic control specialists (ATCS) and supervisory ATCS/controllers in charge (SATCS/CIC). The course consists of 5 hours of classroom lecture, 1 hour CBI, and 30 minutes of testing. The classroom lecture covers operation of the system and national ATCS and SATCS/CIC procedures. The CBI provides a review of AMASS symbology and keyboard entries and may be used for refresher training. The CBI includes knowledge and performance checks that both require 100% correct performance and provide reviews for items that are performed incorrectly. | |||
