A requirement is an essential characteristic, condition or capability. Requirements Management is the systems engineering process that develops, manages and controls the essential characteristics of all the systems that go into the FAA National Airspace System, the NAS. The purpose of this course is to provide an overview of the requirements management process, describe the six steps of requirements management and how requirements products are built and used to make program decisions. A special focus is understanding the significance of well-written requirements.
