| Navigating Change and leading teams is challenging in todays environment. The purpose of this course is to provide managers at all levels of leadership within the ATO an understanding and insight regarding Organizational Structure (the Star Model). Managers will be able to understand the strength and insight into how organizational structure impacts behavior. The second area of learning is to understand that leaders exercise leadership in three areas: tactical, strategic and adaptive. Participants will discover and begin to use the key leadership skills necessary for leading through adaptive challenges. Finally, participants will learn to distinguish between performance management and labor management issues. They also will learn skills necessary to adjust the performance management program process from post-event approach to a proactive development approach. Discover the three primary tasks of leadership and how to apply them in the ATO environment. Objectives: Distinguish the difference between technical issues and adaptive challenges, Increase their leadership effectiveness by learning the skills necessary to exercise adaptive leadership, Describe the management teams role in leading performance management, This item provides 20 hours of credit toward FAAs continuing management education (CME) requirement for managers. | |||
