| Module 5. Effective Communication and Listening The focus of this module is to provide a deep dive into our traditional communication and listening habits. We all recognize the importance of being a good communicator and we have certainly heard about why active listening is a critical skill in effective leadership and management, but we are often rarely as good as we think we are. The purpose of this session is to highlight and discuss the components communication (especially our default settings), explore some of the barriers that exist in both the transmitter and receiver, and engage in some exercises designed to promote better listening and non-verbal cue attention. | |||
