This course provides training for Specialists and Engineers on Integrated Terminal Weather System (ITWS) Hardware (Product Generator, Situation Displays, and Test Tool) with Terminal Convective Weather Forecast (TCWF) Mod. Course is 20 hours Academy Lecture, 36 hours Academy Lab, with 8 hours Required to complete 89026 (RD116). The DoP is taken after successful completion of this course and is included in the course hours. System key performance and certification parameters that are not tested in the DoP will be individually tested in graded labs during the course. Instruction will include the use of applicable Maintenance Handbooks, Maintenance Requirements, Standards and Tolerances, Interval, etc.; Use of TPR S and Certification Procedures including intervals, exceptions and log statement (s). Lecture and lab subjects include system block diagram theory; subsystem (LRU) equipment operation; site-level maintenance and test tool procedures; MDT system-level control and monitoring operations; LRU fault isolation, configuration, and replacement procedures; software loading; system certification procedures and troubleshooting techniques. Final course grade consists of overall grade from two multiple choice question Theory of Operation exams and two graded Enhanced Hands-on Training (EHOT) maintenance procedures.
