This course number is to be used to document Snowcat Operator Training. Employees, who, as part of job assignments, will operate snowcats for transportation or snow maintenance purposes. Participants will be able to safely operate snowcat(s) specific to their location; conduct and document pre-use inspections and field repairs; identify hazards associated with snowcat use, and procedures to control identified hazards (this includes environmental hazards (e.g., cold weather, hypothermia, carbon monoxide)); and perform winter survival skills. Record participation in eLMS under FAA68000372, Snowcat Operator. When recording completion in eLMS, indicate snowcat make, model, and training date in the comments section of each employees completion record. A certificate of completion PDF(s) should be uploaded into each employees eLMS learning history for item FAA68000372, Snowcat Operator.
