| This course provides the initial foundational training required for certification as an Occupational Hearing Conservationist (OHC) under the direction of a Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC)-certified Course Director. Participants will develop a comprehensive understanding of the physics of sound and the biological effects of noise, preparing them for the standardized certification exam. The curriculum emphasizes the mastery of pure-tone air conduction audiometric testing, the expert fitting and maintenance of hearing protection devices (HPD), and the delivery of impactful employee education. This course is not a requirement for any ATO employee. | |||
