| This course has been designed to provide a basic working knowledge of the Hazardous Materials Regulations contained in 49 CFR, with emphasis on ""How to Use the Book"" concept. The Air Transportation of Hazardous Materials training covers the domestic and international regulations for shipping hazardsous material (dangerous goods ) by commercial aircraft. Lithium battery training provides regulatory knowledge on shipment of lithium batteries by gorund (US) and Air. How to use the regulations to identify bettery types, learn the correct shipping names and UN numbers for each battery, identify how/when to use the small battery exceptions versus when to use fully-regulated packages and specific packaging requirements for lithium batteries. Properly marking, labeling and shipping papers (declarations, waybills, etc) for the safe transport of Lithium Batteries. | |||
